String Beans

Fresh string beans are delicious. This is fast and healthy. The only thing tedious about this whole recipe is the cleaning and breaking the end off the end of the beans. I sometimes add garlic powder or paprika.  Most time I just use salt and pepper because I like the taste of the string beans without adding any other flavorings.

Ingredients
  • 1 pound string beans
  • 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions
  1. Toss with oil, salt and pepper.
  2. Spread over roasting pan and broil high until it is cooked, about 7 minutes.

I like some of them to be charred. You can season the beans with garlic powder, onion powder or whatever you may have in your pantry.

I have not been blogging for the past 6 months but I have been taking pictures of the food I have been cooking. So that's why there is a large gap between the last blog and this blog.  I even have pictures from Thanksgiving 2011 meal that I just uploaded in March.  I will slowly put them up as I go. Enjoy!
