I just wanted something a little different and used whatever ingredients I had in on hand. Since I bought a bag of potatoes and was getting tired of roasted it, I decided to bake it on top of the cooked beef.
Ingredients
- 1 pound of ground beef
- 1 large potato
- 1/4 cup frozen peas
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- salt & pepper to taste
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees F.
- Brown meat with garlic and onion in oil.
- After two minutes add the paprika, oregano, parsley and rosemary.
- Saute until everything is cooked, then add frozen peas.
- Transfer meat mixture to a baking dish and add thinly sliced potatoes over the meat.
- Brush a little bit of oil left over from the browning of the meat and bake until potatoes are cooked, about 30 minutes.
