Savoy Cabbage with Dried Shrimp

Ingredients
  • 1 1 pound savoy cabbage, chopped
  • 1/3 cup dried shrimps
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed.
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • salt to taste

Directions
  1. Soak the dried shrimps in hot water for 20 minutes.
  2. Drain the shrimps and chopped.
  3. Fry the shrimps in oil for about for about 5 minutes, stirring constantly so it will not burn. Have a lid handy, because the shrimps will pop out and they burn like hell when they hit your skin.
  4. Add garlic and saute for another minute before adding the cabbage. After sauteing, add water in batches and steam with lid on until the leaves are soften.
  5. Add salt to taste.

This reminds me of being a kid again because of the way the cabbage is cooked.  I always love to eat.  Unlike other kids who are picky with their food, I love everything from vegetables to junk food.  Still do!
